A brand-new, high-energy attraction has arrived at Skegness Pier, as The Grid officially opens to the public – challenging visitors to step up, test their reactions, and see if they have what it takes to Beat the Grid.
Located within the fully refurbished Pier Basement, The Grid is an interactive floor game designed to challenge speed, coordination and quick thinking. Players must react in real time as the floor lights up beneath them, trying to beat the levels before they get caught.
The experience is quick to learn but difficult to master, delivering competitive, high-energy fun for players of all ages.
Priced at just £3 per person for five minutes, The Grid is expected to become a popular addition to Skegness Pier’s growing range of indoor attractions.
The launch forms part of continued investment by Mellors Group, which has recently completed a full transformation of the Pier Basement. The competitive socialising venue now features a new bar, alongside darts, pool tables, and a range of established attractions including bowling, Laser Quest and escape rooms – creating a modern, all-weather entertainment offer in the heart of Skegness.
Further improvements are already planned, with refurbishment work on the bowling lanes due to begin in the coming weeks, reinforcing the long-term commitment to enhancing the visitor experience at the pier.
Paige Harris-Scott, Strategic Brand and Partnerships Manager for Skegness Pier said:
“We’re really excited to launch The Grid as part of our continued investment into the pier. It’s something completely different – it’s fast, it’s competitive and it’s great fun. We’re confident it will be a big hit with both locals and visitors. The Pier Basement has been completely transformed, and The Grid is another step in making it a must-visit destination, whatever the weather.”
Visitors are now invited to head to the Pier Basement and take on the challenge.
