Following the company’s purchase in March 2016 by Mellors Group, Fantasy Island has seen four fantastic seasons and has made substantial investment in an array of exhilarating rides and attractions.
The park and its owners are extremely excited for this season’s opening of its attractions, accommodation services and market and look forward to welcoming visitors back in March 2020.
The park is delighted to announce that a BRAND NEW experience awaits visitors of the park in celebration of its 25th Anniversary. Joining the already impressive list of rides on offer this year is a 29-metre-tall extreme attraction that rotates riders in every direction possible. It is both powerful and thrilling and is certainly not for the faint hearted. The new ride has been named ‘Turbulence’ which could not be more fitting to the exhilarating sensations passengers will experience.
Fantasy Island will be holding a grand opening ceremony on Saturday 28th March 2020 to launch its new extreme attraction. The event will include activities such as daytime fireworks, a ribbon cutting ceremony and more!
James Mellors – A director of Mellors Group says; “Since acquiring Fantasy Island in 2016, we have introduced a whole range of attractions from children’s rides to family and extreme, as well as enhancing our all-weather indoor family entertainment centre, uplifting our market and introducing new accommodation services back in 2019.
Our aim as owners is to continually improve our customer offering and revitalise Fantasy Island, putting Ingoldmells firmly back on the map. We endeavour to be the number one holiday destination on the East Coast.”
Claire Draper, Director of Finance at Fantasy Island said: “Our investment in Fantasy Island over the past few years has been diverse and we have listened to what our customers have wanted in terms of the family experience and a variety of entertainment for our Little Explorers. This year, we have listened again. For months we have received messages asking when The Beast will be returning, but we don’t want to move backwards, we want to move forwards and provide brand new experiences for our customers, and we believe our fans will be thrilled with the introduction of Turbulence.”
