Skegness Pier has opened the doors to The Pier Basement, a fully refurbished entertainment and socialising space, just in time for the Christmas holidays, following further investment from Mellors Group.
The opening of The Pier Basement marks the latest stage in Mellors Group’s ongoing commitment to investing in Skegness Pier. Earlier this year, the group also introduced brand-new escape rooms, with the newly refurbished Basement continuing a programme of improvements designed to enhance the pier’s year-round offer.
Located on the lower level of the pier, The Pier Basement has been completely transformed into a modern venue built around competitive socialising. The space has been designed to suit friends, families and party bookings alike, offering a lively yet welcoming environment for shared experiences.
The refurbishment includes a brand-new bar designed to be easier to access, complete with multiple large screens showing the latest live sports, making it the perfect spot to relax between games or catch the action with friends. The Pier Basement also continues its partnership with Coast – Skegness, allowing guests to order food via QR code and have it delivered directly to their table for a seamless, all-in-one experience.
Alongside the upgraded social space, The Pier Basement is home to some of Skegness Pier’s most popular attractions, including bowling, laser quest and escape rooms. Prices remain highly competitive, with bowling available from £5 per person, or £18 for a group of four, making it an accessible option for festive family outings and group celebrations.
