Fantasy Island Partners with ‘Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre’ to allow children and carers to visit for free
Award-winning theme park, Fantasy Island, owned by leading UK entertainment company, Mellors Group will ensure children from local charity Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre have a summer to remember, gifting each of them free passes every Thursday from now until October 2022.
The generous initiative will see hundreds of underprivileged children, as well as their carers, enjoying a fun day out at the seaside throughout the warmer seasons, as well as getting the chance to experience more than 30 rides and attractions at the UK theme park.
They will be able to enjoy the swinging adventure of Cuthbert the Caterpillar, the ultimate fun of the Dodgems, and the adrenaline rush of the new Wild River Rapids.
Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre is located close to the Skegness seafront and provides a holiday home for disadvantaged children across Derbyshire. It provides accommodation and activities to help give the children a break they might never receive, as well as providing respite for parents and carers.
Alan Grimadell, Chairman at Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre, said: “We are so pleased and proud that Fantasy Island have enabled our children to enjoy a day out – we wish every success to Fantasy Island!”
Speaking of the charity partnership, Edward Mellors, Managing Director at Mellors Group, said: “We are extremely proud to be partnering with such a well-respected charity. The work they do throughout the Derbyshire community, to help those less privileged, is so important and we’re pleased to offer the children and it’s carers a free day at our theme park this year.”
