Mellors Group Named as ‘One To Watch’ In Prestigious European Business Awards
The Mellors Group has been named as ‘One to Watch’ in Europe, in a list of companies demonstrating business excellence, that has just published by the European Business Awards, one of the world’s largest and longest running business competitions.
The Nottingham based company was chosen for demonstrating exceptional achievement in one of the 18 European Business Awards’ categories, reflecting the programme’s core values of innovation, success and ethics.
The Mellors Group is a market leader in the management, operation and delivery of quality, creative events and headline ride attractions. The company has expanded considerably over recent years, creating employment in each location where they operate.
The company works in high profile, often complex site locations, for a wide variety of top organisations in the public and private sector. Each event and attraction is bespoke and themed to suit the client requirement and the locality. Their portfolio of mobile rides is unrivalled – they currently operate the tallest, largest and most distinctive mobile rides within the industry.
The company was recently awarded a five year contract by the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia to organise and create the world’s largest touring entertainment event which will see huge amusement parks moving from one city to another.
On a local level Mellors has just opened the traditional Nottingham Beach in Old Market Square which is free for people to enjoy. Alongside this is a brand-new experience – the Playa Day Club and Restaurant – a luxury beach club inspired by beach clubs from overseas with a pop-up restaurant-bar concept. The restaurant is headed up by Nottingham chef, Laurence Henry who recently won BBC MasterChef: The Professionals. Entry to the Playa Day Club & Restaurant is free and it opens every day at 12 noon. The venue operates a smart but casual dress code, but guests are invited to ‘dress to impress’ with under 18s welcome in the restaurant during the day but they must vacate it by 5pm.
“We are delighted to have been chosen as one of the companies to watch in these prestigious awards,” said James Mellors Snr, Managing Director of Mellors Group. “This acknowledges all the hard work we have been putting in to developing the business over the last few years.”
Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, said: “The companies chosen as ‘Ones to Watch’ are the most inspirational, successful and dynamic in Europe.”
He continued: “The talent and tenacity at the heart of these businesses creates jobs and drives Europe’s prosperity. This ‘Ones to Watch’ list of excellence is a benchmark of success for the rest of the European business community.”
Companies on the ‘Ones to Watch’ list come from all sectors; from manufacturing to retail, agriculture to technology, and all sizes; from start-ups to billion euro businesses.
The Mellors Group will now have the chance to compete in one of the 18 categories of this year’s European Business Awards to become a National Winner in the UK. If successful, they will then be invited to take part in the Gala Final in December 2019, when the 18 European winners will be announced.
